This embossed design features raised cartouches
showing birds in country landscapes. These are accented with gold filagree and
interspersed between fields of salmon or blue. This pattern is derived from the Old World
style of German landscape painting. Birdsongs Rococo shapes were created by the
Fuerstenberg Porcelain Factory of Germany in 1747, for Duke Carl I of Brunswick, the
founder. For this updated version, Mottahedeh followed the dukes theme of creating
country scenes, and used the same factory. As the service includes over 50 shapes, many
wonderful pieces will compliment the five piece place setting. The service is available in
two colorways: periwinkle blue and salmon.
