This platter of a monumental Chines punch bowl inspired this light and airy design called Carillon. Carillon refers to an instument comprised of twenty-six bells. The original Chinese Export plate was in the estate of Mary Branford Bull of Charleston at the time of her death in 1772. Mottahedeh adapted the design and has simplified the decoration. Made of fine white stoneware, Carillon expands Mottahedeh's casual offering. This pattern is dishwasher safe and microwaveable, and the foot is completely encased with glaze, making it doubly durable.
